The White and Black Envelope

Each one of us has a white and black envelope within us, the black enveloped mind is of fear, disappointment and denials and the white enveloped mind gives us a chance to rediscover ourselves.

When we struggle with our failures day and night
When the roar of power and dominance makes us run to the hide
At the brink of the sword I hang looking for a change

When seconds of quake can make us run for our lives
When the heart stops beating and the tears keep dripping like a cut from an edged knife
At the brink of the sword i hang looking for a change

When the world cannot hear our words and becomes deaf
When our eyes look for the helping face, but only sees everybody's back
At the brink of the sword I hang, looking for a change

When the world bitches about you thinking you are deaf
When eyes stalk you coz you bear the "I am a girl" tag
At the brink of the sword I hang, looking for a change

When we roam with several masks glued to our face
When we are in the midst of a distorted phase
At the brink of the sword I hang, looking for a change....

Time will pass, Will you ?

The sands of time will trickle down
So many crossroads to choose all around
Even mind slows down creating a void space
Pressure of all sorts bursting in the brains
When 24 hours in a day become less to do things
Cribbing ! Cribbing !!O Yeah ! is the song that each one of us loves to sing
The CAT, MAT race where everyone is running for the mighty mice
Placement bubbles shoot up, pumping the heart twice
Will I be able to unlock the dreams weaved inside?
And be my parent's pride....

The Gates Will Close (because it's 9:10)

Dreaming about my Prince Charming, the sleep is lovely
It takes 0.5 seconds by Mom to make it ugly...
The "Get up quick" alarm keeps ringing bursting my ears
Oh God! Why did I have to choose a college situated near the Yamuna River...
I don't take hours to get ready ..because I don't have to be the Matchy Matchy (p.s-referring to matching slippers, accessories etc) ..

7:35 out of my home, looking forward for those rickety rides to the Metro dome...
Running towards the Pinky Pinky "Mahilayo ke Liye" corner,
the Vaishali metro @7: 55 has to be boarded by me and the numbers...
Ah! Taking a quick breath of relief,
messaging my bestie about the exact time it would take the train to reach...

Those 30 Minutes to Rajiv Chowk can be passed observing the janta around,
But after that when my friend boards in, the gossiping, laughter makes us in no time reach the Kar-Kar-Duma town..
Running down those infinite steps(Why was this station made with so many floors ??)for the rickshaw outside,
begging the bhaiya for 20 Rs( for 2 people) for the never ending ride...

It will be such a slow slow s..s(speedbraker)oh!!...(still at Crm) very slow ride,
every second goes in seeing the clock moving and pointing at 9:05..
No, not yet, the journey hasn't ended,
Still a bit of running left and towards our respective buildings we are headed(the gates will close because it's 9:10)

Throttling Democracy

The barbaric operations to evict Baba Ramdev have aggravated the democratic issues in the country.

The corrupt government involved in innumerable scams and scandals has portrayed a shameful chapter in front of the civil society. Where has the freedom to speech disappeared? Where have our rights disappeared?

Baba Ramdev may not be right in his demands but he dared to stand against corruption...When the shameless politicians and representatives can roam freely and speak without keeping their brain o meter on then there was nothing wrong done by the Baba that Government ordered for such an unfaithful act marking a blot on the democracy...The raid at late night on the sleeping women and children and all the citizens present at the Ramlila Ground has just alarmed the country with more shocking and severe disappointment, People have
been reminded of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre incident.

The objective of the Government was not to maintain law and order as the Delhi Police didn't issue any warnings or intimidated the crowd. It is a violation of all the rights of the civil society. All this inhumane act has been carried under the remote control of the Government (feels shameful to even speak the names of these creatures). There is nothing wrong in demanding the answers from the UPA chairperson or Mr. Prime Minister who is never affected irrespective of the innumerable allegations against him (he would be under the remote control I believe) and Mr. Sibal, who is such a multitasker that he can address all the issues at one time - be it the scams, Lokpal Bill Or Baba's Dharna...Is he waiting for an opportunity to grab a higher seat??

Thus corruption is rooted in every powerful person, every other party is corrupt but this party has crossed all the limits of shamelessness and fearing its end it has assumed power and misused it...the lathicharge has just proved the brutality by these puppets of the UPA chief. It’s time that there is a complete washout of this ruling party which keeps making noises without any responsibility...

RELIVE

The wheel of ageing is rotating,
The desire to remain young forever is rising.

The inner child from within calls out,
Live with a fresh mind and a happy heart-without any doubt.

Life may have been unfair but laugh again with a new hope
The mirror may show the cracks on the face but the light reflected on it can glaze.

Sing even if you are not melodious, make some noise on the road
Dance to the tunes and beats of the drum relieve the shoulders off the heavy load.

Love hurts, you might have been broken and single
But make your heart beat again to be ready to mingle.

Nothing remains forever or constant, so relive again like a child
As if there is always a new tomorrow J

Cricket Fanatics !!

The game of CRICKET-a leftover of the British Raj has assumed an exotic Indian flavour. The fans and frenzy all over the country multiplies the desire to watch the Boys on the field bleed BLUE !!

This year started significantly for us -the CRAZY fans with the World Cup 2011. The vociferous jam packed crowd at the stadiums, the most exciting clashes like India/Pakistan, India/Australia and finally the finale at the Wankhede stadium where the majestic finish by the Captain Cool puts India right on the top. The 28 years wait gets over when India scripts a glorious new chapter making the whole country proud.

When the cameras are panned towards the stadium the excitement on the faces is hard to miss-the die hard fans waving, shying away or bursting with joy. I am overjoyed because I was alive when I saw this magnificent win on my Telly(when i saw the unbending desire of the team to win against everyone and claiming the coveted trophy in delight :))

The endless discussions I had with my friends such as "Who will win? will we win ?...Oh yar wo to out ho gaya, sehwag gaya :/ ab to hum gaye!!, yar Sachin ki 100 ho jaye" and innumerable such talks that my phone got overloaded and couldn't receive further messages,Knowing there is an exam next day (IT ka) but every moment of the match against Australia was worth flunking for, those immediate status updates on facebook(our daily reporting centre !!),reading the newspaper just because it will speak of the Indian victory again and again, watching news throughout the day because they will show my favourites on the
screen!! Woah and how to forget my huge list of crushes...From Gambhir to Kohli to Yuvraj  to XYZ I have fallen for almost all of them in this period :p and the fights with friends for these young guys ;)

The most happening part was seeing the entire nation at 12 o clock dancing singing on the streets eating ice creams(the ice cream sellers had the best time :p)- never seen such capturous moments in life ever. Now the Cup has ended it would take time to bring myself back to a normal routine without the voluble and energised tones of everyone who thronged the streets.

This is remarkable now...momentous times marked by emotions for the nation and specially for the Master Blaster- God Of Cricket-SACHIN TENDULKAR :) Virat Kohli summed it best after hoisting the great man on his shoulder: “Sachin Tendulkar has carried the burden of the nation for 21 years. It was time we carried him. Chak de, India!”

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”
     -Mahatma Gandhi

         The Invisible Boundaries

1947-the year to mark the birth of India and Pakistan as two separate nations
The walls painted with signs of hatred and pain in creation
The muffled rage from a long passage of time, the old oppression across the line
The border might be a fictitious demarcation; the faces in the mirror reflect the same aspirations

Division between the two homes, the heights unscalable
The fear in the valley remains, lonely eyes tearable
On one side Lies Lahore, the other side Punjab;
Here is Allah; the other side is Lord Rama;

Aman ki asha is what it calls for, change and unity to the core
As each step gathers a beat, the rolling colours of diversity ignite the heat
We want peace and tranquility....we have been a victim of blindness
The clock calls for a revolution with a sense of active participation and togetherness

Thus it will be one voice for a new tomorrow
Lines drawing a joined hand   praying for a beautiful dawn
The miracles will be performed; there would be erosion of deep sorrows
Brothers and sisters will unite...the history will pen down another historical song!!

THE BLANK FACE

The light turns red,the woman on the ground convulses her hand in rapid motion
Knocks the window, cries, begs in those 60 seconds in the hope of an earning affair.

Her body hidden under shabby clothes, the bells of hunger singing along, standing helplessly
on the ground....
the face asks for help, the heart blesses the soul...O Lord Almighty pave a way for these
poor prisoners on the road!!

The city multiplies with prosperity and growth....but when you stare the lady down blindly
locked in poverty..
then the only thing you can wish for is a fairy hand waved on her and the masses alike !!

FOOT PRINTS

In the camera lies those moments that are captured deep within the mind,
Timeless they are, yellowed with years, with a tape to rewind.

The colourful impressions they leave in the corner of your heart,
with the beats singing the tunes of joy and tears, the beads of togetherness that they still craft.

Blooming roses and their sweet fragrance intoxicates the soul,
Days may pass by,moments may be short lived but memories always stick to the cherishing pole.

Footprints mark the beautiful journey of remembrance from time to time
thus keeping the sad faces glow like a candle burning their hearts alive..
