“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”
     -Mahatma Gandhi

         The Invisible Boundaries

1947-the year to mark the birth of India and Pakistan as two separate nations
The walls painted with signs of hatred and pain in creation
The muffled rage from a long passage of time, the old oppression across the line
The border might be a fictitious demarcation; the faces in the mirror reflect the same aspirations

Division between the two homes, the heights unscalable
The fear in the valley remains, lonely eyes tearable
On one side Lies Lahore, the other side Punjab;
Here is Allah; the other side is Lord Rama;

Aman ki asha is what it calls for, change and unity to the core
As each step gathers a beat, the rolling colours of diversity ignite the heat
We want peace and tranquility....we have been a victim of blindness
The clock calls for a revolution with a sense of active participation and togetherness

Thus it will be one voice for a new tomorrow
Lines drawing a joined hand   praying for a beautiful dawn
The miracles will be performed; there would be erosion of deep sorrows
Brothers and sisters will unite...the history will pen down another historical song!!
